Canvas Skills: Discussions
Canvas is a paid Learning Management System that allows schools to build learning environments for their unique needs. The Discussions feature allows teachers to create a space for collaboration and idea sharing right within their course. With this tool, teachers can share resources to support and guide students in both whole group and small group discussions.
Why This Badge?
Discussion is a valuable part of any classroom or learning environment. Creating an online discussion board, within Canvas, gives students the ability to collaborate, discuss, and share new ideas with others in a digital environment no matter the learning landscape. Using discussions can be a great opportunity for students to learn how to properly interact with one another online, and gain experience articulating their thoughts using a new medium. Students can interact with the entire class or smaller groups and even provide and receive feedback from their peers all within Canvas!
